CONFERENCE HISTORY
The story behind the Hoosier Legends Conference
THE FORMATION
The HLC was announced August 14, 2024, when Tri-West welcomed Beech Grove, Indian Creek, Monrovia, Speedway, and Triton Central. Shelbyville and Greenwood joined later, bringing membership to 8 schools from Hendricks, Johnson, Marion, Morgan, and Shelby counties.
THE NAME
The name "Hoosier Legends Conference" honors the legendary individuals that have come from the founding schools and communities.
THE LOGO
The shape of Indiana represents the Hoosier State. The corn emblems are a tribute to central Indiana farmers. The line of bricks nods to Speedway's racing heritage. Every founding school is represented along the brick pathway.
BE LEGENDARY
The conference motto challenges student-athletes to excel not only in sports, but in character and actions outside of athletics.
